At the start of November, Philadelphia Area Dames and Knights continued their monthly First Saturday tradition with a day of prayer, fellowship, and service.
The morning began with the Saturday Salve Mass in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Overbrook, Philadelphia, celebrated by Father Michael Phelan, O. de M., pastor of the parish.
Following Mass, members gathered at the International Institute of Culture at Ivy Hall for a delicious brunch and lively discussion. Topics included welcoming new members, remembering our dear brother Randy, and preparing for the forthcoming investiture. After concluding business and prayer, the group turned its focus to a hands-on service project—preparing meals for those in need.
Once the meals were ready, some Knights and Dames personally delivered them to shut-ins they know. These visits were deeply appreciated—often even more than the meals themselves—bringing comfort and companionship to those who need it most.
