After the first snow of this year melted, on Wednesday, December 17th, members of the NYC Area, Auxiliary, and friends gathered at St. Patrick’s Cathedral to participate in the Christmas edition of Malta Walks. After praying together the Daily Prayer of the Order, volunteers prepared 50 Malta Walks bags containing warm socks, gloves, hats, toiletries, granola bars, sandwiches, and Dunkin’ gift cards. With the Christmas spirit in the air, they divided into two groups and headed towards Grand Central Terminal. Along the way passing by the colorful Christmas lights on Park Avenue before distributing their bags to the sick and poor on the streets of Midtown Manhattan, gathering at a nearby pub for drinks and conversations.
