The Missouri Area recently participated in a St. Louis Criminal Justice Ministry (CJM) apartment cleaning. CJM, through its Foundations First Housing Programs, maintains numerous apartments throughout the St. Louis area to provide stable housing for men recently released from incarceration.
These programs are designed to support a gradual and sustainable transition, offering individuals the time, resources, and encouragement needed to heal, grow, and rebuild their lives. By fostering personal development and independence, clients are empowered to reintegrate into society with confidence and stability. Men released from prison are able to access immediate housing on the day of their release, complete with a fully furnished one‑bedroom apartment equipped with all essentials for independent living.
Between residents, volunteers step in to clean the apartments, ensuring a welcoming, dignified environment for the next individual beginning their journey toward renewal. This simple act of service reflects the Order’s commitment to upholding human dignity and extending compassion where it is most needed.
