A joyful St. Valentine’s Day celebration was held for the residents of Barry Manor Apartments in Palatka, Florida on February 13. Knights, Dames, and Associates handled every detail—shopping, prep work, cooking, and serving a full barbecue lunch for nearly one hundred residents and staff of this Catholic Charities low‑income housing community.

Knights grilled high‑quality hamburgers and hot dogs on-site, serving them hot and fresh tableside with all the trimmings, along with sides, chips, beverages, and an array of festive dessert treats including brownies, strawberries and cream, and macaroons. Each resident also received a fresh rose, a gift bag of chocolates, and a personalized Valentine’s card featuring an uplifting scripture verse.

Live music filled the dining room, enhanced by cheerful room and table decorations that added to the festive spirit. This celebration continues the Northeast Florida Area’s ongoing ministry to Barry Manor, which includes an annual Christmas Dinner Party and occasional cookouts made possible by a large outdoor grill purchased through a Local Area Support Grant.
