On Wednesday, March 18, the New York – NYC Area delivered 90 beautiful St. Patrick’s Day floral arrangements to two Archcare facilities: Providence Rest Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in the Bronx and Terence Cardinal Cooke Healthcare Center in East Harlem. The residents, their families, and staff were delighted with these festive holiday flowers.
The floral arrangements, all in pristine condition, had decorated the annual dinner of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick the evening before. American Association President Ken Craig arranged for the flowers to be made available to the NYC Area for donation. NYC Area Co-Chair Steve Bujno worked with ArchCare CEO Scott LaRue to coordinate with the ArchCare facilities.

Steve and NYC Area Mobile Ministries Coordinator Michael Smilek loaded the NYC Area Van and delivered the flowers to the two ArchCare facilities. At Providence Rest, they were also able to meet with Sisters of St. John the Baptist, who assist in providing wonderful care to the Providence Rest residents.
The NYC Area hopes to broaden our flower deliveries beyond the Friendly Sons’ annual dinner and the American Association Investiture dinner. Flowers bring moments of beauty and comfort, lifting spirits and reminding ArchCare residents and patients that they are remembered and cared for.
