On Saturday evening, June 27, the Northeast Florida Area celebrated the Feast of St. John the Baptist, Patron of our Order, with Holy Mass at The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in downtown Jacksonville. Our Conventual Chaplain Bishop Eric Pohlmeier offered the Sacrifice of the Mass, with Msgr. Michael Morgan, ChM, and Fr. Ed Murphy concelebrating, with Deacon Michael Elison assisting. Fr. Murphy and Deacon Elison are candidates for Deputy Chaplain and Deputy Deacon Chaplain, respectively. Reception and Dinner followed at The River Club downtown. Knights, Dames, Affiliates, Chaplains and special guests enjoyed fine fellowship and exhilarating remarks from Bishop Pohlmeier. Special thanks were extended to Beth Gutman, completing her service as Area Hospitaller, and Harriet Braasch, completing her long service as Treasurer.
