The St. Jude Center, run by Catholic Charities, provides housing, coupled with case management, to a total of 104 senior homeless persons in the Dallas area.
The center provides a permanent residency, workforce training, financial education coaching and the opportunity to restore dignity and independence. During the last year, seven of the residents have left St. Jude Center return to the workforce as self-sufficient individuals.
This year, the Knights and Dames from the Dallas Area of the American Association purchased Christmas gifts for the 104 residents of St. Jude Center. These presents, which included basic necessity items to assist them in their new life at the center, were well-received by all.
