Order of Malta Catholic bibles and prayer books are printed and distributed throughout the American Association. The bibles utilize the New American Bible, Revised Edition (NABRE) released in 2011. The pocket-sized Catholic Book of Prayers, in large print, has an informative section on the rosary, many illustrations, with 255 pages overall. The Malta bibles and prayer books are made available in both English and Spanish versions. These bibles and prayer books are stored in a warehouse facility and distributed directly to prisons and jails, or to a pre-approved prison ministry coordinator.

Staff members in prison and jail facilities contact the Malta bible and prayer book coordinator, always through email communications. Each order and facility is submitted for review and approval, for types of books requested, order size, and language preferences. Careful written records are utilized for tracking and processing all orders. On average, each order takes about 6-8 to be delivered and fulfilled. The staff members frequently provide feedback on how important and appreciated these materials are by our incarcerated brothers and sisters.
