Description

Project 1: Let’s Start Prison Ministry. Order of Malta established a committee to work with the Let’s Start Prison Ministry. Our Committee provides support for women currently incarcerated and or released from prison. Women incarcerated are allowed family visits and the Order of Malta provides transportation for families to visits. Chair person and members of the Order of Malta attend weekly meetings and assist with counseling these women. COMMITTEE MEMBERS 24.

Project 2: Criminal justice system in the St. Louis area has joined with the Order of Malta to provide basic needs to men incarcerated or recently release from prison. The Order of Malta established a committee to work closely with the criminal justice system. Members write to men incarcerated on a regular basis. ORDER OF MALTA MEMBERS 10.

Project 3: Members of Malta serve on the Board of St. Patrick Center that provides job training for those released from prison or homeless. Malta members provide money and assistance in working with members of St. Patrick Center in finding employment for homeless individual and those individual released from prison. Malta members support a cafeteria operated by training staff of St. Patrick’s. Malta Members 25
