On Saturday, August 5th, Knights and Dames from the Philadelphia Area attended two activities.

In the morning, we convened for our regular monthly meeting. We started with Saturday Salve Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Philadelphia. Father Justin Freeman, O. de M., the parochial vicar, was the celebrant. We then met briefly, ate breakfast together, held a business meeting, and then assembled “blessing bags” with provisions and supplies for homeless and needy men and women. The bags were delivered to the local Sisters of Charity, who were going early that afternoon to minister to people in the Kensington area of Philadelphia.

Later that afternoon, a smaller contingent of Knights and Dames attended the Holy Mass and Installation of Father Samuel Keyes as 3rd Pastor of St. John the Baptist, Bridgeport, PA. The Principal celebrant was Bishop Steven J. Lopes, first Bishop of the Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter. Bishop Lopes is a chaplain of the Order.

Also, many members continue to pray the Rosary on Zoom every Wednesday.
