On Thursday, September 19th, dedicated volunteers from the Connecticut – SW Area returned to school with a purpose: offering their time and support at Room To Grow Preschool in Norwalk. This preschool is part of Catholic Charities of Fairfield County and provides not only high quality care and education for children ages 3-5, but also offers counseling and a food pantry in its Family Resource Center.
During their visit, our volunteers engaged in essential activities including unpacking a recent food delivery and meticulously organizing the Room To Grow food pantry. This pantry is a lifeline for families enrolled in the program, providing them with much-needed nourishment that they might otherwise struggle to afford. By ensuring that the pantry is well-stocked and accessible, our volunteers helped contribute to the well-being of the children and families who rely on these resources.
As we reflect on these charitable efforts, it becomes clear that such acts of kindness not only support those in need but also foster spiritual growth and fulfillment in our own lives. Together, we embody the core values of the Order of Malta, demonstrating that through service, we can make a profound difference in the lives of others.
