On Sunday December 22, nine students from the prestigious Juilliard Pre-College music program performed a Christmas concert for the children and young adults at Mother Cabrini Specialty Hospital. The students, ranging in age from 8-16, started by performing classical pieces by composers such as Paganini and Beethoven before playing a variety of traditional Christmas carols. Music is an important therapy for the Mother Cabrini residents and the smiles, joy and peace on their faces during the concert was easy to see.

The Juilliard Pre-College performance series was started by Zoe Nguyen (2019 Lourdes Pilgrimage malade) with her mother Thu (ASSOC) and is assisted by the NYC Area. The concert series includes one to two performances each month. Zoe has been working on expanding the concert series by opening performance opportunities up to include students from other pre-college programs such as The Manhattan School of Music Pre-College (MSM), where her twin sister Sophia (pianist) attends.
