On Saturday, the 1st of February, many members of the Philadelphia Area gathered for Saturday Salve Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Philadelphia.

Father Matthew Phelan, O. de M., pastor, was the principal celebrant, and Father Justin Freeman, O. de M., and Father Joseph Eddy, O. de M., concelebrated.

We met for brunch, prayed together, discussed the forthcoming Pilgrimage to Lourdes, and other area business, including the upcoming spiritual reflection on the Jubilee year, and other future events.

Then after praying the prayer of Our Order, we donned our aprons, and got busy doing the Lord’s work, as we assembled delicious meals for shut-ins. Many of our members are now delivering these meals to shut ins on a regular basis, extending this ministry in deep care of our lords, the sick and the poor.
