NYC Area Members, Affiliates, and friends were out in full force and full voice on Saturday, March 1, serenading the children and young adults at ArchCare at Mother Cabrini Hospital at Terence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center (TCC). Our volunteers socialized with and sang for the residents, both in the communal lounge spaces (accompanied on both floors by accomplished pianists — a recent development for our Singalongs!) and also room to room. Everyone got in the Mardi Gras spirit with a lively rendition of “When The Saints Go Marching In”. A festive Irish song paid homage to the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day. This outpouring of song, affection, and personal attention was very welcomed by the residents, who have profound neurological impairments and other complex medical conditions.
Come join us at TCC on Saturday, April 5 for our annual Order of Malta Kids’ Circus, one of the highlights of the year! The regular Singalongs will resume Saturday, May 3 and are held on the first Saturday of the month. For more information or to join, click here to contact Luisa Majnoni d’Intignano.
