On Saturday, May 17th, Knights and Dames in Philadelphia were invited to the joyful celebration as Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez ordained 5 new priests for the Archdiocese. Our Metropolitan, Archbishop Pérez, was the principal celebrant and homilist at the Mass with Rite of Ordination to the Priesthood. Five new priests were ordained for service in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. And in this milestone event, one amongst our new priests has realized a particularly different manifestation. Twenty four years ago, with the approval of Cardinal Anthony Bevilacqua, he became the first hermit, living a solitary life of prayer and devotion to God, in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. And the culmination of his time since 2001, he now becomes been ordained as the first hermit priest in the Archdiocese.
