On Monday, September 29, members of the New York City Area, in partnership with Malteser International Americas, conducted its second Flu Vaccination Clinic of the season at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church.
The clinic coincided with the lunch service provided to midtown homeless and underserved individuals by the Ecumenical Outreach Partnership (a collaborative ministry of Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and St. Thomas Episcopal Church). The NYC Area also provided guests with gift bags which included winter hats, socks, and gloves, as well as a Dunkin’ gift card.
Funding for the gift bags was provided by the St. John Committee. We express our deep gratitude to the St. John Committee for this support and wish it much success in its upcoming White Cross Ball of New York City, which will take place on Friday, November 7, supporting the global works of the Order. The Flu Vaccination Clinics are conducted annually by the NYC Area in conjunction with local emergency food providers, providing an important health service to vulnerable members of the community and advancing the Order’s mission of ministering to the poor and the sick.
