Pilgrimage to Ireland
The American Association of the Sovereign Order of Malta would like to extend to you an invitation to join Rev. Msgr. Robert Ritchie, GCChC, and the Irish Association on a unique opportunity to celebrate 850 years of the Order of Malta in Ireland. In June of 2025, we will journey to Ireland and visit many iconic religious and natural sites. Daily mass will be celebrated at beautiful churches and chapels such as the National Shrine of Our Lady of Knock, the Fr Patrick Peyton Centre, Galway Cathedral, St John’s Cathedral in Limerick, and Killarney Cathedral, to name a few. We will celebrate a special Nativity of St John’s Day Mass with the Knights and Dames of the Irish Association. Marian Pilgrimages of Dublin and Boston will facilitate our pilgrimage and have secured 4-star accommodations throughout for our comfort. The Irish Association will coordinate one or two local events within our itinerary so we can see and interact with their ongoing work projects. They have a national-wide ambulance service and are keen for us to visit/socialize with these volunteers. Their member base is relatively small at about 160, but they expect some of their historians will be available at locations with rich Order of Malta history to explain and bring that history to life for us. This will certainly be much more than your typical Irish tour and truly a unique opportunity to celebrate 850 years of the Order in Ireland. |
