Description

This activity provides transitional housing for women released from York Correctional Institution in Niantic, CT, and the support needed for these women to successfully adjust into the community life of Southeastern Connecticut. It is a non-denominational program that provides short-term transitional housing, mentoring, and other support services, such as assistance with job placement, necessary to meet the unique needs of each participant.

Activities Members Are Involved In

CT (Eastern) Area volunteers serve in leadership roles as Directors. They also volunteer as mentors and provide support to other less experienced mentors. An Area volunteer underwrites and directs a highly successful fund raising dinner on behalf of the activity.
