Description

Arrive once a week on Wednesdays, with other regular lay ministers around noon and meet in the chapel. Engage in one-on-one counseling with time for fellowship and camaraderie; all gathered then participate in a Catholic communion service or Mass based on priest availability. When priests are available, inmates are able to have their confessions heard by the priest.

Activities Members Are Involved In

Arrive and meet with the inmates in the chapel. Many times they request conversations to listen and help with their personal issues. At times, the group may watch a film or have a group discussion. Members assist with the worship service, invite readers, discuss the readings, then share a reflection with time for interactions among group participants. The Gospel is presented as the living word of God with encouragement to apply lessons in their own lives.
