Description

A new Area Pen Pal program for writing one-on-one monthly letters to incarcerated men and women. Members are matched through the American Association Pen Pal program. They use a pen name and follow thoughtful security procedures. The letters provide support, prayers, and encouragement for brighter days ahead. After an initial pilot program, it was launched to members in the local Area.

Activities Members Are Involved In

Members exchange one-on-one letters with incarcerated men and women. The hand written letters may be exchanged monthly or on a more frequent basis. Safety guidelines and established protocols are strongly emphasized. Members meet on a quarterly basis for a Pizza and Pen Pals gathering. It allows time for fellowship and friendship among members. There is time for prayer, sharing and reflections, and asking questions
