The Cincinnati-based Ohio Area has been enjoying a successful volunteer project which began earlier this year. January was the official opening of the St. Anthony Center, in downtown Cincinnati. Held in the St. Mother Theresa of Calcutta Dining Room, we meet on the third Monday of each month to serve breakfast to the poor and needy of the greater Cincinnati community.

Dubbed Malta Mondays, we have been able to field a group of 7-8 volunteers (some shown above) each of the Mondays since the beginning of the year. Identified by our aprons, we enjoy fellowship as we gather to set up the cafeteria-style line, start the morning with a group prayer, and provide a smile and a full breakfast for many of the homeless in the Greater Cincinnati area.

The activity has enriched all of us and enabled us to have personal encounters with so many of the disadvantaged who live among us and who we often walk by each day.
