Philadelphia Area Members Participate in Requiem Mass

On Monday, February 6th, Knights and Dames in the Philadelphia Area participated in a solemn Requiem Mass on the “Month’s Mind”, honoring the man and praying for the repose of the soul of Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI.

The Month’s Mind Mass is a beautiful tradition of celebration, where we solemnly regard the life and impact of this greatest theologian of the last half millennium, and unequalled captain of the Barque of Peter.

Holy Mass was officiated by Father William Cantrell, pastor and principal presider, and Father Gerald Sherbourne, Chaplain (LTC) US Army, who shared an impassioned remembrance of the impact of Holy Father Pope Benedict on him and so many others in welcoming Anglicans into the Catholic Church. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass was held at St. John the Baptist, Bridgeport: the Ordinariate parish serving the Philadelphia area.
