On Saturday, March 18th, members of the New Jersey Area gathered at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark, NJ, for a Lenten Day of Reflection. This Day of Reflection was led by Area Chaplain Fr. Bismarck Chau, who is also Rector of the Cathedral Basilica.
After breakfast and morning prayer, Fr. Chau preached on the theme “I Thirst” and led members on a reflection of Christ’s thirst for souls and our thirst for Christ, and reinforced how our service to the poor and defense of the faith must be done with love of Christ.
Afterwards, Fr. Chau, together with Area Chaplains Msgr. Sylvester Cronin and Msgr. William Fadrowski, heard Confessions and then ended the morning with Mass. All came away spiritually nourished to approach the remaining weeks of Lent.
