The summer season started with two great events for Knights and Dames of the Illinois Area. 

 

Celebrating the Feast of St. John the Baptist

On June 22nd, the Illinois Area was joined by members of the Federal Association to celebrate the Feast of St. John the Baptist, Patron Saint of our Order with a Mass and Dinner. 

Pictured above is Jeffrey Wright, second from left, joined by Keith Cardoza, David Christian, and Bobby Olsen. Jeffrey, who served as a reader during the Mass, just received word of his candidacy approval. We are looking forward to celebrate his Investiture this November!

 

Tuesday Night Supper at Catholic Charities

In addition to serving Chicago-area guests who regularly attend Catholic Charities’ weeknight dinners, Catholic Charities has increased their efforts to serve the many migrant families and asylum seekers who have recently come to Chicago and are in need of assistance. Knights Ed Brotonel and Terry Kiwala are pictured above with another volunteer. Terry’s wife, Carol, played family-friendly show tunes and classics for guests during dinner.
