Members of the Order of Malta in the Eastern CT Area were very privileged to process and be seated in front pews at the Cathedral of St. Patrick, Norwich for a unique Church Ordination of one of our Diocese clergy.  Archbishop Kevin Randall was officially declared Apostolic Nuncio to Bangladesh by His Holiness Pope Francis on Nov. 4, 2023.  He was a Diocesan Monsignor Pastor before serving as a US Military Chaplain and in the Vatican Diplomatic corps, recently in Austria.  The Archbishop is also a Chaplain of the Order of Malta.  For both reasons, the Area was given permission to display the flag of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta in the Sanctuary near the Statue of Our Lady behind the bishops.  The magnificent Mass and ceremonies were celebrated by recently appointed Cardinal Christophe Pierre, Apostolic Nuncio to the United States and concelebrated by a host of Archbishops, Bishops, and clergy, many who travelled to CT.  Bishop Cote, Area Chc, is pictured at several key portions of the Ordination and Liturgy.  https://www.norwichdiocese.org/Masses is the link to the full 2 hour ceremony.
