On Tuesday, November 21, NYC Area members and friends gathered at Terence Cardinal Cooke Healthcare Center (TCC) to bring Thanksgiving to the children and young adults of Mother Cabrini Hospital and their families. Volunteers helped transport the residents to and from their rooms, served a traditional Thanksgiving dinner to the families and Hospital staff, mingled with the families and played with the residents. Live music enhanced the meal and encouraged after-dinner singing and dancing. The Hospital (formerly called the Specialty Hospital for Children) is home to children and young adults with serious developmental disabilities and other extraordinary medical needs. It was a blessing for the NYC Area to be part of this event and we hope it becomes a new holiday tradition! Click here to read more on The Good Newsroom.
