On Wednesday, April 17, NYC Area Members, Auxiliary, and friends gathered for a Malta Walks to assist NYC’s homeless and underserved. Our group and members from St. Patrick’s Cathedral Parish met in the St. Patrick’s Cathedral Sacristy for an educational session on how to compassionately engage and assist the homeless and underserved.
The session was conducted by City Relief, an NYC area organization which provides mobile outreach to the homeless. Then we made sandwiches and packed hygiene kits, which the group distributed to the homeless and underserved in the streets of midtown Manhattan. Afterwards, a number of the volunteers gathered at a local pub for fellowship.
