Knights and Dames of the Northeast Florida participated in the Founder’s Day events and Mass on Saturday, September 4th at Mission Nombre De Dios in St. Augustine, Florida.  It was a splendid day and an honor to process with Bishop Felipe J. Estévez to a lovely liturgy at the historic outdoor rustic altar.  

This year’s celebration marked the 456th anniversary of the first landing by the Spanish and the founding of the nation’s oldest city and first parish. Attendees celebrated Mass at the very spot where the first Mass was offered.  By that time, the Order of Malta had only been around for about 500 years.
