The American Association’s Pen Pal Program continues to grow by leaps and bounds making a difference in the lives of those we serve. Alexandra writes:
I have been so touched by my experience with the Order of Malta’s Pen Pal Program thus far. My pen pal has been a fantastic contact and very spiritual person to get to know. I enjoy writing very much. Thank you!
And she isn’t alone. Ceil writes:
I am very worried about my pen pal. He was moved to another facility some months ago, and it must be a very bad place. He has never asked for anything but prayers, and I do pray for him every day. The place he’s at does not have a visiting priest or Mass, which he really misses. He is a very prayerful man and tries to avoid any kind of violence. I realize prisons are dangerous places and many are unsafe and uncaring. After a year and half, I know he is not a bad person but a very prayerful and caring man. I will be saying rosaries for and with him that his situation will get better.
Pen Pals make a difference in the lives of incarcerated individuals, particularly during these extremely difficult times. A few minutes once a month provides so much hope. Please join us!
