South West Connecticut Area members and volunteers gathered on Wednesday, May 13, for a Malta Walks bag-stuffing evening in preparation for outreach with the Missionaries of Charity. Care bags were assembled with essential items for those experiencing homelessness, including emergency blankets, ponchos, toilet paper, snacks, shampoo, razors, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, wipes and clean socks.

On Sunday, May 17, volunteers joined the Malta Walks ministry alongside the Missionaries of Charity to distribute the bags to the unhoused and spend time with those they encountered. More than simply providing necessities, the ministry offered compassion, dignity, and human connection to individuals often living on the margins.

Thank you to all who contributed their time, donations, and prayers to make this outreach possible and bring comfort and hope to those in need.
