About the Order The Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and Malta is one of the oldest institutions of Western and Christian civilization. The 13,500 Knights and Dames remain true to its principles – nurturing, witnessing and protecting the faith and serving the poor and the sick.

The American Association Founded in 1927 as the first association of the Order of Malta in the Americas, the association is headquartered in New York City with over 2,000 Knights, Dames and volunteers in over 30 Areas working with the poor, sick, and incarcerated and giving witness to the Catholic faith.

Minnesota / Affiliates
The Order of Malta Minnesota Delegation’s Affiliates group consists of Auxiliary and Associates members who seek to glorify God by promoting sanctification of each member through his or her work with the sick and the poor and witness of the Catholic faith.
Affiliate members are expected to take a hands-on roll in serving the sick and the poor by serving food and friendship to the hungry and homeless at Catholic Charities facilities throughout the Twin Cities and to help with food packing at Sodality of St. John the Baptist food packing events.
Affiliate members are also expected to participate in area retreats, feast day celebrations, and other spiritual activities in the area.
Affiliate members are encouraged to attend the Pilgrimages to Lourdes and Our Lady of Champion
Auxiliary members who can and who are called, are expected to ascend to full members and continue to live out our charism as Knights or Dames.
