The American Association Founded in 1927 as the first association of the Order of Malta in the Americas, the association is headquartered in New York City with over 2,000 Knights, Dames and volunteers in over 30 Areas working with the poor, sick, and incarcerated and giving witness to the Catholic faith.

New York City Affiliates
The NYC Metropolitan Area has a very active Affiliate Corps made up of three parts: Auxiliary (ages 18 – 39), Associate (age 40+), Volunteer Auxiliary (Non-Catholic). Many live in NYC or in the surrounding area but travel to NYC and give their time and talent to our mission. The Affiliate Corps serves in a very hands-on way the sick, poor and most vulnerable populations that we see on our very own streets and also assists in raising much needed funds for the Area’s and Order’s service works.
