Information Regarding Checks & Lock Boxes

The New York Office of the American Association provides management services for the American Association, The American Association’s Called to Serve Capital Campaign, The Malta Human Services Foundation, and the Order of Malta Pilgrimage Foundation. As a result of recommendations from our Auditor, we have increased the number of lock boxes to avoid the need to handle checks in the New York Office.

Lock boxes provide a secure and inexpensive way to increase the speed at which checks are processed, reduce the risks associated with loss or mishandling, and provide an immediate record of bank deposits for audit and control. The lock boxes are not intended for forms not accompanied by a check.

Donations and payments by credit card can still be made in this section of the website. Forms for credit card payments or pledge forms not accompanied by a check should be sent to the New York Office at:

Because we are currently supporting the four separate accounts indicated above, and to ensure that your checks go into the proper account in the most efficient and safest possible manner, you are asked to use the appropriate address as you send any checks to the Association, the Capital Campaign, the Malta Human Services Foundation, or the Order of Malta Pilgrimage Foundation. To achieve the level of security and speed of processing, we request that no checks be sent directly to the New York office. Forms not accompanied by a check or forms for payment using a credit card should continue to be sent to the New York Office. The addresses below are only intended for checks or checks accompanied by forms.

Any checks intended as a donation to the Capital Campaign, to fulfill a pledge or as a single donation, should be sent to this address – a pledge form accompanied by a check can be sent to this address:
