Our Lady of Good Help Pilgrimage 2019

August 1st– 4th

Approximately 100 American Association Knights, Dames, Clergy, Volunteers, and family members joined Federal and Western Association pilgrims for the 2019 Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help and the Shrine of St. Joseph in Wisconsin.

The Pilgrimage began on Thursday, August 1st with opening Mass at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral celebrated by Bishop David L. Ricken. Pilgrims started their second day of the pilgrimage with  Mass and confession at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help. Over 40 pilgrims volunteered to meet local veterans and retired priests from the Green Bay Diocese at the Shrine and accompany them throughout this day. Friday continued with lunch at the Riverside Ballroom and a beautiful presentation on all of the veterans and retired priests who joined the pilgrimage. Knights and Dames were overjoyed to honor these individuals. After lunch, everyone traveled to the Shrine of St Joseph at St. Norbert College the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick and the Adoration.

On Saturday, over 200 pilgrims from all three US Associations spent the whole day at the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help, participating in the Rosary Procession, Mass, the Stations of the Cross, an Adoration and Healing service, quiet reflection time, and lunch on the grounds of the Shrine. Knights and Dames had the wonderful opportunity to attend Mass in the Chapel of the Shrine’s new Mother of Mercy Hospitality Center.

Members ended each evening with a Tri-Association dinner at the hotel, presentations on the Shrine, by Bishop Ricken and Fr. Broussard, and miracles, by Michael O’Neil, the Miracle Hunter, and evening prayers with Frà Mulligan, President of the Federal Association. The Pilgrimage concluded with a Sunday Morning Mass at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral and a tour of the Cathedral and Museum.
