The North East Florida Area celebrated the end of the Advent Season with a beautiful and joyful project! This special outreach event was at Barry Apartments in Palatka, FL which is a low income housing facility for the elderly.  We interacted with the residents, served and funded lunch and live music for our guests.  This event was one of the very few celebrations this community had throughout the year.  The dining room was filled to capacity where we served 52 residents.  In addition, we assembled 36 dinners which were taken to the residents who were unable to come to the dining room.  The director of the facility, Alma Ballard told me the following day that the residents were still buzzing with joy and talking about how much fun they had!  She also said that we were the hardest working and did the most thorough clean up job of any group that has ever served at Barry Apartments!
