Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney ChC led a Holy Thursday Mass at Morris County Correctional Facility in Morristown, N.J., sharing Christ’s message with inmates.

He was joined by Father Owen Moran ChM, Father Alex Nevitt ChD, and Father Philip-Michael Tangorra ChD, who all regularly celebrate weekly Mass and offer confessions as part of the Order of Malta Prison Ministry; Christine Myers DM is the lead for Prison Ministry here in New Jersey.

During the service, Bishop Sweeney washed the feet of five inmates, symbolizing Christ’s service. Bible study is available for male inmates, and the Bishop’s visit included breakfast with jail staff and the ministry team.
