On First Friday, June 5th, members of the Westchester Area gathered at Saints John and Paul Parish in Larchmont, NY, to celebrate First Friday Mass.  A new ministry was launched that day as well, Lunches with Love, led by Deacon Jack Shea.

After the beautiful Mass, Order of Malta members got together and prepared 260 sandwiches for those experiencing food insecurity. The sandwiches were delivered to the Don Bosco Community Center where they will help provide nourishment and support to individuals and families in need.

The launch of Lunches with Love reflects the Order of Malta’s commitment to serving Christ through service to the poor and sick. Through this new ministry, members will have the opportunity to put their faith into action, sharing both food and compassion with neighbors in need.

Thank you to Deacon Jack Shea and all the volunteers whose generosity and dedication made this inaugural effort such a success. We look forward to many more opportunities to serve through Lunches with Love!
