About the Order The Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and Malta is one of the oldest institutions of Western and Christian civilization. The 13,500 Knights and Dames remain true to its principles – nurturing, witnessing and protecting the faith and serving the poor and the sick.
The American Association Founded in 1927 as the first association of the Order of Malta in the Americas, the association is headquartered in New York City with over 2,000 Knights, Dames and volunteers in over 30 Areas working with the poor, sick, and incarcerated and giving witness to the Catholic faith.
Spirituality Knights and Dames join the Order of Malta to pursue their spiritual growth over a path laid out by Blessed Gerard more than nine hundred years ago, seeking to nurture and witness the Faith and assist the sick and the poor.
Spirituality in Action Members are involved in hands-on work at over 100 hundred organizations, including food banks, hospitals, pregnancy support centers, homeless shelters and mentoring programs for at risk children.

Kenneth R. Craig, GCM
New York City Area, Member since 2004
Ken joined the Order as an Auxiliary in 2001 and became a Knight in 2004. He has been an annual Lourdes pilgrim since 2003 and Pilgrimage Co-President since 2014. Ken was a member of the Board from 2009 – 2014 and again beginning in 2017. Ken was Secretary of the Malta Human Services Foundation Board from 2015 – 2018 and serves as Master of Ceremonies for the annual Investiture weekend.
Ken is Co-Chair of the Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help in Wisconsin. He has been actively involved with the global Order, championing the Association’s participation in the International Camp for Young Disabled and the Blessed Gerard Retreat in Rome for young members of the Order. In 2014, Ken was appointed by the Grand Chancellor as Observer to the Australian Association and Subpriory of the Immaculate Conception. He has served as NY Area Treasurer, Auxiliary Coordinator, and for many years, raised funds for the Lourdes Pilgrimage and Terence Cardinal Cooke Hospital by designing and selling Order of Malta-branded merchandise.
Ken holds a Bachelor’s degree from Manhattan College in Electrical Engineering and an MBA in Management and International Business from New York University. He has worked as a technology and operations executive in the investment banking industry for almost thirty years. Ken serves on the Staten Island Catholic Schools board. Ken and his wife, Suzanne, reside in Manhattan and are parishioners at Holy Trinity Parish where they are Extraordinary Ministers.
Rory Kelleher, GCMOb
New York City Area, Member since 2004
Rory Kelleher was elected as Secretary General in 2024. After graduating from Fordham College and Columbia Law School, he practiced law with major law firms in New York City and London, with a focus on corporate law and financial transactions.
Invested in 2004, Rory has been a member of the Board of the Association since 2020, and Secretary since 2023. He has provided the benefit of his legal experience as Chair of the By-Law/Legal Committee, including work on revision of the By-Laws to conform with the requirements of the new Constitution. He has served as a member of the Executive, Area Support and Development and Finance Committees. He was a member of the Campaign Cabinet for the recent Capital Campaign.
Rory was Co-Chair of the NYC Area with his wife Camille for six years, with important expansions of membership, spiritual activities and works of the Order. He has continued to serve as NYC Membership and Grants Committees Co-Chair. Throughout his 20 years in the Order, Rory has volunteered with other members at Terence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center in NYC, serving the residents – aged, disabled children, people with AIDS or Huntington’s Disease, or needing rehabilitation. He has joined nine pilgrimages to Lourdes, as well as a pilgrimage of the Order to the Holy Land, Association Retreats and Pilgrimages for Life and, as a Knight in Obedience from 2016, Retreats of the Subpriory of Our Lady of Lourdes. Rory was elected to participate in the Chapter General and the Council Complete of State of the Order in Rome in 2023. He was raised to the grade of Knight Grand Cross in 2023.
Rory has also aided children, families, the sick and needy for many years as a Trustee of Catholic Health Care System (ArchCare) and formerly as a Director and Board Chair for 10 years of Catholic Guardian Services (a large agency of New York Catholic Charities). He has served in his Parish as Parish Council President, Finance Council Chair, Lector and Eucharistic Minister, and also volunteers at St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
Rory and his wife Camille have three grown children and four grandchildren.
Andrew Aoyama, KM
South West Connecticut Area, Member since 2008
Andy was elected as Treasurer in 2024. In the Connecticut Area, Andy and his wife, Virigina, served as Area Hospitallers for five years. He also helps coordinate his Area’s involvement at New Covenant Center – a soup kitchen and food pantry program operated by Catholic Charities of Fairfield County. At the Association level, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Malta Human Services Foundation for the past nine years and served as its President for the past six years. He also serves on the Area Grants Committee and the Stewardship Committee and has participated in a number of Lourdes Pilgrimages, serving as a Team Captain on the last two Pilgrimages.
In the Diocese of Bridgeport, Andy is an extraordinary eucharistic minister and brings Communion to residents at a local Senior residence on Sundays. He is the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Foundations in Faith and Charity, a foundation established by Bishop Frank Caggiano and dedicated to supporting pastoral ministries in the Diocese of Bridgeport, CT. He is a retired senior vice president of MetLife and most recently headed the Business Oversight & Operational Risk Management Department of MetLife’s Retirement and Income Solutions (“RIS”) Division.
Andy joined MetLife in 1982 and spent his first 20 years in the Investment Department and 17 years in the RIS Division. He received a BA degree in Economics from Claremont McKenna College and MBA degree from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago with concentrations in Finance and Accounting. He also holds the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation. Andy and his wife, Virginia, have been married for 41 years, have four grown children and three lovely grandchildren.
Since becoming a member of the Order of Malta, he deeply appreciates the Order’s commitment to make a difference in the world by recognizing Jesus in the faces of those we serve.
Anne G. Peach, DM
Florida – Naples Area, Member since 2016
Anne has served as a member of the Board for the past five years, supporting a variety of committees. For the past two years she has chaired the grants committee and served as a board representative on Malta Human Services Foundation. Anne has served as a nurse volunteer on the Lourdes pilgrimage since 2009 and is a member of the Lourdes Medical Selection Committee. Anne is a nurse and youth chaperone each summer in Lourdes and is a member of Lourdes Hospitalite. She coordinates the winter and fall retreats (Lutz, Florida and Betania, Massachusetts) and serves as a nurse at Malta Camp USA in Albany, New York.
It was in 2004 that Anne was honored to be chosen as a “malade” with Hope Carter as her sponsor. Her pilgrimage to Lourdes was a life changing experience. Through the mentorship and encouragement by Hope and other members of the Order, Anne became involved first as a nurse volunteer and since 2016 as a Dame. She continues to travel annually to serve in Lourdes including this past summer. Most importantly, she believes in “Tuitio Fidei et Obsequium Pauperum” – “Protect the Faith and Serve the Poor”.
Vice President and Partner in Future Vision Group II, LLC, Anne is a senior executive high reliability coach working with health care executives worldwide on improving patient safety, quality, culture, and engagement. She is former Chief Nursing Executive and hospital administrator for an eight-hospital health system.
Anne serves as an extraordinary eucharistic minister and minister of the sick at Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando, FL. She is a member and past club president in Rotary International. A volunteer at Give Kids the World in Kissimmee, FL, she welcomes Make a Wish families from around the world each week.
Anne and her husband of 46 years, Ken Peach, KM, have three sons and two granddaughters and live in Orlando, FL.
