As we look forward to our Lourdes pilgrimage in late April of next year, our excitement is building. We are very honored and humbled in being named your hosts of the Order of Malta’s signature charism event in Lourdes. The theme for the 2025 Lourdes Pilgrimage will be: “Hope Through The Virtue of Union with Mary.“

We are very excited about our theme for the pilgrimage in that it centers around the Church’s 2025 Jubilee theme of Hope, designated by Pope Francis, and the union with Mary that we find especially in our pilgrimage to Lourdes. All of us hope for physical and spiritual healing through the waters of Lourdes, and through Mary’s intercession and her “weapon of choice”, the Holy Rosary. The visit to the Rosary Basilica during the pilgrimage, with Mary’s prominent crown displayed in front of the church, designates her role as Queen of Heaven and amplifies the fact that she pleads our cause to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, the one triune God on our behalf.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible next year on our pilgrimage to Lourdes. As Solanus Casey says, we are praying in advance, for a beautiful and faithful experience in union with Mary for all the pilgrims and Malades.
