The New York City Area held its monthly First Monday Mass on June 2nd, celebrated by Rev. Gerald Murray, ChM, JCD in the Lady Chapel of St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Father Murray had recently returned from Rome, where he covered for EWTN the Papal Conclave which elected Pope Leo XIV. In his homily, Father Murray reflected on words from the day’s Gospel, in which Jesus warns the disciples “In the world you will have trouble…”. All is not lost, however, as Jesus says “…but take courage, I have conquered the world.”
Following Mass, a number of attendees gathered in fellowship at a local bar. Please join us for next month’s First Monday Mass on July 7.
